Argon Capture Experiment at Dance (ACED) is an experiment done by researchers from UC Davis (and one from Boston University) to measure the thermal neutron capture cross-section on argon at the Detector for Advanced Neutron Capture Experiments (DANCE) at the LANSCE neutron beam facility at Los Alamos. In addition, the experiment will deduce the branching ratio for gammas resulting from neutron capture by measuing event-by-event gamma cascades in the DANCE 3π crystal array.
